Brokerages affiliated with William Raveis grow

William Raveis Legends Realty Group -- one of eight independent brokerages affiliated with Connecticut-based William Raveis Affiliates -- has opened a third office in Westchester County, N.Y.

The acquisition of the Irvington, N.Y., office, formerly Hudson Shores Realtors, brings the number of agents with William Raveis Legends Realty Group to 42.

Another William Raveis affiliate, Rhode Island-based William Raveis Chapman Enstone, has completed an acquisition of a Providence company, pushing the brokerage over the 100-agent mark, the company said.

During the past two years, William Raveis Affiliates says it's added 12 offices in New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. William Raveis Real Estate Inc. now claims 2,700 sales associates at 80 company-owned and affiliate offices in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.  

According to data compiled by Real Trends, William Raveis' company-owned brokerages ranked 25th in the nation by transaction sides in 2011, down from 23rd in 2010.
