Fantastic news for California and Florida. Goodness knows they've been waiting for this kind of turn around for quite some time!

For those who think this is good news, it isn't. The lack of inventory is further evidence of an ailing market. Many sellers feel stuck in their current situation, becase of many factors. (See: http://www.berkhills.blogspot.com/2012/05/buyers-are-back-but-where-are-...) In the meantime prices are going up, and buyers in my area without cash or large down payments are squeezed out in the competition. In the SF Bay Area it is not unheard of to have as many as twenty offers on one property.

The Manhattan market is having a buying frenzy now, driven by the drop in inventory. Many are paying at or above asking. Wei min, www.wealthre.blogspot.com
