My Comments

  • This post will surly drum up

This post will surly drum up some interesting (funny) comments on the actual Real Deal article so make sure to visit the TRD link. I am going to leave my two cents here as I am still recovering from my last appearance on The Real Deal. To make it quick: 1. True: NYC Real Estate market is like no other. I knew this coming into the market -- but now I really know it! 2. The political (financial) roadblock to get a "normal" MLS on this island will be nothing short of miracle. 3. It most certainly affects the homeowners (buyers & sellers) of NYC. The lack of transparency/control by consumers, although getting better, is inferior to every other city in the U.S.. Sometimes it makes me thing how much artificial demand has been pumped into this market over the past real estate boom? The VOW is a start - but if this city wants to see more efficient business processes and lower commission fee's - NYC needs a true MLS (with IDX capabilities) yesterday! Scott - Definitely! - This is big ... maybe as big of news as the NAR/DOJ anti-trust suit. Glad to see continued improvements on transparency in this space. Anthony Longo Founder & CEO, CondoDomain.com
