Homes selling like hotcakes in North Carolina

Overnight mortgage rates dip

Long-term mortgage interest rates were slightly lower Thursday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield slipped to 4.37 percent.

The 30-year fixed-rate average decreased to 5.67 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate dipped slightly to 4.99 percent. The 1-year adjustable was down at 3.17 percent.

The 30-year Treasury bond yield dipped to 5.19 percent.
